Basil

Fresh basil can be used to flavor variety of dishes like pasta sauces, salads and fish.

On the other hand If you don't have fresh basil, you may substitute dry basil in place of fresh basil leaves, in that case most experts recommend using a ratio of 1 tea spoon of dry basil equal to 2 teaspoon of fresh basil leaves. Dried basil almost can be added to any dish and it is often goes well with tomatoes and Thai cooking.

Basil gives a minty aroma, sweet-scented, lamb, fish, or baked chicken. It blends well with oregano, thyme, and garlic.
